Fitness Journal C3W10D2 (Booth Babe Mini-Challenge?)

Thoughts: I’m feeling kind of torn today about which path to take with my fitness plan. You see, my friend artist Joe Pekar will have a booth at the Orlando Megacon comic book convention at the end of this month, and I’ve volunteered to dress up and be a be-wigged, pigtailed booth babe to help him out.

So here’s my quandary–I had planned on bulking at least through mid-February (and more likely through the end of the month), but now that I have this volunteer booth babe thing on February 26, I think I’ll have to cut those plans short and start cutting now if I want to have any glimmering of definition by that Saturday. As I mentioned in a previous post, I was just gearing up to try a new bulking training split, new modified 50/30/20/2400 calorie menus, and a new PWO dextrose/whey shake. And, though it’s hard to know for sure, I’ve been getting this feeling that my arms ARE finally responding to the extra calories and heavy weights by getting a smidgen larger.

I could pick up the bulking again right after the show, I suppose, but that will put me on a March bulking/April-May cutting schedule, and here in Florida the tank top weather comes very early, LOL. On the other hand…wow…I’m in week 10 of this Bulk-o-rama already, so maybe my feelings of “I just started bulking!” are a bit misplaced. I just can’t shake the irrational sense of foreboding that stripping away the layer of bulk padding I’ve added will just leave me with exactly the same arms that I had back in November. :P

In other news–Disaster! I did my first Hotsync between my Visor Prism and my new Dell desktop system today and the stupid desktop overwrote my handheld’s meal/exercise logs and food database instead of synchronizing and merging the two files, completely rolling my data back to November 25, 2004! ARGH! (Yes, I know…the Prism is an ancient color PDA–so what? I’m too cheap to upgrade it when I don’t need any of the new fancy features like wi-fi, built-in camera, and Bluetooth. As long as it runs my Diet and Exercise Assistant, has enough room for all of my contacts and appointments, and plays a few games, I’m happy.) I am so annoyed at this moment…there’s no way to fix this until I get to work again on Wednesday and (hopefully) locate a more recent Hotsync backup. I think my last sync at work was last week, so I’ll have to re-input six or seven days worth of meals and workouts. I know I eat nearly the same things every day, but still…Gah! I lost data, dammit!

Yeah, yeah…I know. I’m a nerd.

The Awful Truth:

========
Brownie Points:
1. Didn’t have any of the fat-laden, carb-loaded entree choices from tonight’s catered Mexican themed dinner at work. Just grabbed a strawberry and some rice with black beans to go with my own canned tuna and orange.
2. Didn’t touch the mini Snickers, Baby Ruth, and Twix candies in the acid green candy bucket.
3. Ran HIIT during lunch after sleeping in late.

========
Short-term Goals:
1. Plan out workouts with extra cardio for the next 3.5 weeks before the Megacon.
2. Restore as much data as possible from my back up Palm files at work.
