Thoughts: I just got back from a trip to the company snack machine. Every day I go to the snack room at least three times to refill my two water cups (4-5 cups total per trip) at the cooler, and every time I do so I visit the company snack machine.
At first when I just started getting back into shape last May, I looked at the array of candy and chips and told myself, “You don’t need them. Yes, they taste good, but they are part of what made you fat.” (Okay, realistically, it was my complete lack of all exercise that made me fat after my honorable discharge from Uncle Sam’s Army, but I did spend around $4 a week on the goodies in that snack machine.) It must have worked, because I haven’t bought a single item from the snack machine since May 29, 2004.
Now when I look at the snack machine, the brightly-colored packages and tasty contents don’t even register. I’m just glancing over because the shiny glass case is a damn good mirror, perfect for checking if my arms are showing more muscle definition each day.
Hee.

The Awful Truth:
1. Had a personal size bag of lite microwave kettle corn last night–240 extra calories and 21 g carb. Not too awful. Tasted really good, too.
2. Didn’t make up cardio last night; will do it on Sunday.
========
Brownie Points:
1. Got my big box o’ dextrose from Kent Nutrition today.
2. Took a few check up measurements this morning–shoulders, arms, and chest are 1/4″ larger, waist and abs are the same, but hips and thigh are both 1/2″ smaller. Scale weight is up 1 lb, but most likely due to TotM water retention. Hurray! Hope this trend continues!

Short-term Goals:
1. Finish filing paperwork at home.
2. Learn how to use accounting software to set up my illustration business accounts.
