SGX Journal C4W7D3 (Jiggle, Jiggle, Go Away)

Thoughts: The Body for Life Women’s board on MSN does a weekly challenge every 7 days. This week it is as follows:

Every day, complete 200 crunches, 100 regular or kneelie push-ups (or 300 regular ones for mutants like me and Pam/rockenmommy), 200 squats, 200 jumping jacks, and 10 minutes of stretching.

I’ve done bits and pieces of the challenge on Monday and Tuesday, but not the full thing as I’ve been trying out various workout DVDs in the evenings and just didn’t have the gumption to knock out a full third or fourth workout on top of my morning cardio, possible afternoon lifting, and evening DVD.

I’m pretty dedicated, but even I need some sleep.

Anyhow, today I’ve already finished up my morning cardio, lower body workout during lunch, and about half of the challenge stuff–200 jumping jacks, 150 push-ups, and 200 squats. Only 150 push-ups, the crunches (yay!), and yoga for stretching to go.

Here’s the exciting news though: Although I still have a good 5-8 lbs of fat to burn off in the next few weeks, as I was doing my jumping jacks at the fitness center, I didn’t see anything jiggling on my body. I even turned around as I did them to get a back view in the floor to ceiling mirrors. No jiggle while doing some pretty enthusiastic side straddle hops! Yes!

My day is made.
