Okay, I just finished my week 1 mini-challenge (pant, pant) for the Lean, Mean Halloween challenge at PinkDumbbells.com. I didn’t have my comically huge men’s Omron HRM watch with stopwatch function with me here, so I trotted out to the only non-ghetto Wal-Mart Supercenter in central Florida and bought myself a challenge prezzie–a black women’s sport watch with dull metallic pink trim. Very Pink Dumbbells. It’s going to be my physical reminder to stick with my plan for the month.

Here are my initial results.
Pull-ups:
- (regular grip, unassisted) 4
- (chin-up style w/reverse grip, unassisted) 6
Full Push-ups (without pausing): 70
1-Mile Run: 7:44.00
RAWR!!!!
BTW, running outdoors in 100% humidity and 98 degree Orlando weather at 9:30 AM on a stomach full of egg whites and oatmeal absolutely blows in more ways than I could possibly describe here. I spent the first half mile (3:48 excruciatingly painful minutes) with a persistent stabbing sensation in my lower left abdominal area.
:eekb:
I’m doing my end of challenge run at 7 AM in a completely fasted state. This “eat before cardio for extra energy” stuff just doesn’t work for me.

The Awful Truth:
1. Didn’t get in all 6 meals yesterday, but got 5 and was still in target calorie range.
===========
Brownie Points:
1. Went on the 1-mile run even though I HATE running outside.
2. Logged my meals and exercise.
===========
Short-term Goals:
1. Update HandBase workout module.
2. Organize desk.
3. Defrost chicken leg quarters.
4. Cook chicken, Napa, green onions, tomato, and broccoli.
5. Buy cheap plastic shelves from Target or Ghetto-Mart and move plants to balcony.
