For those of you watching this challenge for the budgeting aspect, today is your lucky day.
Behold: Week 1 Grocery Expenses for the Cheapass Challenge!
As you can see the total was pretty high at $78.19 this week, but note that I managed to acquire enough skinless, boneless chicken breast for 7 weeks of this challenge at a very reasonable $1.49/lb. I also stocked up on four bottles of Kraft 15-calorie, fat free dressings (Seven Seas Red Wine Vinaigrette and Zesty Italian) at $1.32/bottle which should last the entire challenge. The box of Altern (Wal-mart’s Splenda knock-off) will last all 12 weeks, too.
Grocery bills for the next few weeks should be quite low.
