Cutest Fitness T-Shirt EVER

Runnin' Rhino Tee

Sigh….Sometimes I really regret swearing off all new clothing purchases until June 2008…. For those of you who have not made a “no new clothes” vow, you can get this hilarious design (”Runnin’ Rhino”) over at Threadless.

10/1/07 Log

I got up too late to do both lifting and cardio after staying up until midnight to watch the 2-hour pilot episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation with Chris (I own the entire series on DVD and plan to watch every episode by the end of the year — never say that I don’t share my geeky moments with my readers!) so I opted for 30 minutes of HIIT elliptical and 10 minutes of incline walk/jog. I want to change my lifting routine a bit for October, so I will decide which exercises or routine to use before tonight’s workout. I’ve been doing the same split for 4 weeks now and am due for a change before boredom sets in.

Food and workouts were actually on the mark this weekend. I did Forza on Saturday along with a 30 minute session of Yourself Cardio Core, and yesterday I knocked out my planned outdoor run in the evening to avoid the truly exhausting sun light that plagued me last Sunday. Total distance was 2.64 miles in 26:12, which was much better than last week, but still not where I need to be on October 21 if I want to beat my Army best of 17:30 for 2 miles.

Anyhow, after all that diligent exercise and nutrition compliance through the weekend, I weighed 140.8 this morning, though I expect a lot of fluctuations this week due to PMS. I also expect some carb cravings, but I will try to save them up for company Pie Day this Thursday! (Mmmm….pie! Okay, I don’t like pie THAT much, but since I can’t have ice cream, I’ll take it. And I’ll probably do my 5k training run that night, too, to take advantage of the carb load.) I’m bringing in a homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie from Cooking Light. I probably won’t be able to have any of it despite the low cal/low fat recipe because the thing is based on light cream cheese, and cream cheese’s high lactose content makes me completely unfit to be around any other lifeform in possession of a sense of smell.

Sorry, that was probably TMI, but I do try to be honest.

Chris got up and did his first Chest/Shoulders/Triceps workout today to kick off week 4 of P90X. He looked like he was working hard when I got home, which is always a good sign. His weight is holding pretty steady–this morning it was 150.8 lbs–which is good news. Since his gut is visibly shrinking but weight is not changing, I believe my boy is putting on muscle!

Upcoming milestones (and my weight/bf% targets for each one):
- UCF 2-Miler in 3 weeks (138 pounds/19% bf; finish run in under 17:30)
- My friend Susan’s/Willow011’s wedding in LA in 4 weeks (136-137 pounds/18-19% bf)
- Trash the Dress photos in 7 weeks (134 pounds/16-17% bf)
- Thanksgiving in 8 weeks (133-134 pounds/16-17% bf)
- New Year’s in 13 weeks (130-132 pounds/14-16% bf)

Don’t forget, the Pink Dumbbells MEGA Challenge weekly chat is tonight at 8 PM EST! I plan on being there again for around an hour or so. Sign into the site as usual, then click the Chat button on the left menu to enter the chat room.
